First, tab out and loop the rain and thunder
Next, tab out and loop this crisp tabla
Then, round out this sonic moire pattern with some voices and a Tibetan Chant!
A heartbeat and another scary sound are neat too, but the chant overpowers them. I'm not sure if they're worth including. Check them out!
Finally, listen. Then, read.
This composition makes me think of a scene from the movie, "Apocalypto." I envision a tribal man running through a dense jungle and then suddenly, when the drums stop, he emerges from the foliage and beholds a breathtaking temple. (I'm also picturing a thunderstorm rolling in behind the temple; hence the occasional claps of thunder.)
Does anyone else "see" that? Am I weird? Haha.

1/30/08: I'm really irritated that I can't get the freesound links to play. First I thought it was because my laptop is running out of disk space, but since other people have been having problems too, I guess it does have something to do with Firefox. Either that or there's something going on with the Freesound site. I've only gotten it to work one time, when I first created this page. Now I can't even add more functional links if I want to. GRRR!
I'm getting full functionality. And your mix of sounds is stunning! Instantly shifts the mood and tone (and therefore my mode and intent) of my late-night wiki derive
The sounds are finally working on my laptop. I just deleted 2 GB of junk from my hard drive, so apparently that was the problem. :)
